Comment: OK, I bought a used total gym 3000 for 100.00 a year ago. I have used it on a regular basis ever since. The unit has gotten a little noiser, and is not nearly as easy to put away as they would have you believe. However, it *does* work you out well. It is easy to use, and effective. Maybe the body rail is better (it would be nice to have something wall mounted!) BUT - this is a review of the total gym 3000. I have lost weight, gained muscle and never hurt myself. Does everything it says it will do. Certainly not a ripoff IF you use it.

Comment: Don't waste your money on a Total Gym, I did my research maticulously and found the body rail has huge reviews all over europe and the man who invented it is from illinois I learned. For half the price of a total gym ($[...] with everything at bodyrail.com) you can even get it with a pilates attachment. I am SOOO happy with it and my wife is too, it's helping her to lose the baby fat she got after having our first baby boy this year. It is challenging too because at the lower points of the 440i body rail it lifts the same as the highest point on the total gym setting. It is built for commercial use whereas the total gym is built for home use. I love mine and I just wanted people to know how good it is, I hate being taken advantage of and I don't like to see other people taken advantage of. Bottom line is the total gym is WAY overpriced, It may work fine but for the average person. But if you want to get in shape and Really Body Build than the BodyRail is a Much better choice for you. Well on one hand I guess they do have to pay chuck Norris and Christy Brinkly for selling the total gym.... If you want to contribute to their pocket books go ahead, but if you want a solid machine that does everything they claim without all the hype and not overpriced but actually affordable take a serious look at the bodyrail, We love ours!
We have been married 4 years and care alot about fitness this is an Awesome Product, the customer service from bodyrail was outstanding too!
If you choose to get it we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!

Build strength... burn calories... shape up and slim down with Total Gym. 10 to 20 minutes a day is all it takes!
The glide board on the Total Gym 3000 is padded with a 1" high-density foam.
You will receive the Wing Attachment which can be attached to either the top or the bottom of the rails on your gym. With this attachment you can do pull-up's, military press and various leg workouts.
The Total Gym 3000 comes standard with 2 workout videos. "The Total Gym Instructional Program" and "John Carleo 6 to 8 workout for Total Gym".
You will also receive an Exercise Wall Chart that can be used as a quick reference while working out.
The Total Gym 3000 offers a large plastic squat stand for various leg exercises.
This gym supports up to 300 lbs.
