Summary: Very poor design
Comment: I saw the commercial on TV for the Iron Gym chin up bar and thought I would buy something like that. I like to save money, so I bought this cheap imitation, but in this case, it would have been worth it to shuck out the extra 10 bucks or so. The curve of the crossbar makes this design nearly impossible to fit in an average door frame. My room-mate actually fell on his butt using it, which was funny, but not worth $25. Don't buy it.

Comment: I strongly recommend AGAINST this item. I previously owned a pullup bar designed like this and was forced to order a replacement. This item is poorly made: the screws were too small and I had to buy screws at a hardware store to complete the assembly, the pieces are the wrong length so it can't hang on the door frame without additional support, the cushion pieces on the ends are supposed to ease the stress on the door frame during use but they are hard plastic so it offers no support and using the pullup bar will damage your doorframe. When I put up the pullup bar in the door frame, it fell off and almost hit my head. I have been using a pullup bar for 10+ years, so I know I wasn't using it incorrectly. I threw this in the trash and bought one from an infomercial instead. I paid a little more but the quality was superior. Do not buy this item. It is not easy to assemble, it doesn't work as intended, and may cause injury if not used with caution.

Summary: Be Careful!!!
Comment: All I have to say on this product is that it does not work quite as well as it seems. I used it a couple of times with no problems after it came in and really enjoyed it. The problem came when it completely came undone from the door jamb mid pull-up! Luckily escaped with just some rug burn on the knees until it happened again with no warning and I ended up landing on my lower spine, not good... Just be very careful with this product!

Summary: GREAT FOR $ AND CONVIENCE!
Comment: This chin-up bar has not damaged my wall. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble, and everything you need is in the box. It only snuggly fits one doorway in my apartment. It is very sturdy on that doorway. You need at least a one inch thick/deep door frame for it to rest on. You will be amazed how quickly you get stronger by using it every day. It is much easier than buying/storing/moving heavy dumbbells. Also, when you have company you can take it down in a second, and put it back up later.

Comment: I thought I was purchasing an over the door pull-up bar. This was something that hinges from the door. My screws did not fit so the bars were never solid. It is just not a good purchase.
