Customer Rating: Summary: Urban Rebounder Comment: I bought this believe it or not for an eighty year old woman at her request. She absolutely loves it. She tells me she does 500 bounces a day. I was more than a little skeptical, but so far she is very happy. The stabilizing bar is a big help.
Customer Rating: Summary: Urban Rebounding Trampoline - Good Product Comment: After purchasing this product, I got nervous reading some negative testimonials on here (Amazon.com). But, after using the product for a couple weeks, that nervousness has subsided. We haven't had any problems with it yet. It seems pretty sturdy. We've left it up most of the time. Not that assembly and/or folding it up is difficult - it's not. It's just that we use the balancing bar and you have to position the legs a certain way to get the bar to fit. And anyway, we have the room to keep it out. Well, I guess the legs do take a little effort to unlatch to fold the trampoline up, but I would think that's a GOOD thing to have the legs not come off easily!! Someone in another review had mentioned the smell, which I did notice, but I didn't find it overwhelming, and many products have there own smell out of the box.
It took a short time to get used to for us. It's a little disorienting at first if your not used to trampolining. It's still kinda mesmerizing watching the included DVD while doing the workout because you're moving along with the people in the video, but this is fun.
All in all, we had NO problem with this product and WOULD recommend it!
Customer Rating: Summary: One Problem Comment: The product is just as described and I was sorry to have to return it. Consumer Reports rated it as their best choice. The problem is that there is a toxic odor that is most likely coming from the vinyl. The company even sent me a second one, so that we could see if the problem was isolated to the first. They hadn't had any other complaints. The odor was less pronounced with the replacement, but after it had been in my office overnight, I soon had a headache that lasted most of the day (headaches are very rare for me). Both rebounders irritated my sinuses.
I would so gladly have kept this product if it weren't for the smell. I have had mini trampolines in the past and none of those had an odor.
Customer Rating: Summary: good bargain Comment: This is my 3rd rebounder. This is probably the best quality version. I weigh 220 plus pounds. People buy equip like this and expect miracle results in 2-3 sessions. It doesn't work like that. But if you work out every other day for 2-3 weeks, you will see results in the mirror. I work out with 2-5 lb freeweights. The cut(s) you get from this you can't get anywhere. I've been rebounding off/on since 1995.
There is marketing. There is hype. Is it all true? Mostly yes. You probably can't buy a more user friendly piece of work out equip. Yes, it gets boring. But mix it up with jogging, treadmill, swimming, etc. and you get a whole package.
My 5 yr old watches the video and imitates the instructor verbatim. He's amazing with it. He has super discipline. My kid, that is.
There are studies on this and how it activates a gland (name escapes me) that increases the flow of getting rid of toxins in your system. There are other attributes associated, such as vision, balance, etc. It may be more true for some, than others. But for under $100, you are getting an investment in a machine/tool that doesn't really compare to anything prior.
The construction is decent. When I saw the quality/price, I threw out my old one (which was still in workable condition) and started off with this.
Customer Rating: Summary: Poor Quality Product Comment: When first time used, two rivets broke causing separation of the two parts at frame pivot folding structure. Poor quality, bad design, this item should be inspected by the consumer safety group.
In addition, unit has very strong odor like a kerosene. Of course made in China. I have returned this item without any issue and have my money back.
