Customer Rating: Summary: worst pedometer I have ever owned. Comment: I have a habit losing belt clip pedometers, so I usually get the cheap (under $10) ones, which at least work. I thought the concept of a pocket pedometer sounded perfect for me and sprung for the higher priced model. This pedometer certainly fits easily in a pocket. However, it failed to record approximately three quarters of my steps, even when I held it in my hand perfectly even. Another problem was that it was constantly resetting itself in my pocket. After one day, I have already packaged it back up for return to the store.
Customer Rating: Summary: Doesn't work...what a joke! Comment: This pedometer is terrible! Most of the time, it doesn't count at all. The display is on, but it doesn't register any steps. When it does count, it is very inaccurate, giving me a wide range of steps when I walk the exact same distance. I'm sending this back immediately.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not the pedometer I thought I would get Comment: This pedometer requires you to figure out what your stride length is in order for it to accurately determine what distance you are running. Well frankly I am dissapointed that regardless to what I set it to.. it is innacurate. Is there not a product out there that just measures distance without having all these settings? This is my first pedometer, but the fact that I can't use it to accurately measure what distance I am running makes the product useless to me. Don't get me wrong, there is some accuracy but it is off enough to where you might see yourself running 2 miles when you only ran 1.5. Or even .8 miles when infact you ran 1. So looking around for another pedometer that is not so complicated. Design is probably its best asset but not as thin as you may imagine it to be
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Slim Pedometer Comment: This is a very nice, VERY SLIM, pedometer for anyone who always has a pocket to put it in. As a woman I do not always have a pocket so I have put this aside as an extra pedometer. It would be great for men who always have pockets and is so slim that you hardly notice it is there. A very basic model but so slim it is worth purchasing it.
Simple is better with most items that I have experienced and this is certainly one of them. For me color doesn't matter since it is not placed on the outside of your body.
Customer Rating: Summary: inaccurate, terrible device Comment: I have had the same experience as the other reviewers here. The step count is always inaccurate, by at least 5-12 steps for every 10 steps taken. I also noticed that every time you take it from your pocket to check it will add an additional several steps. Multiply this kind of inaccuracy for walking half a day, this device won't even be close to accurately depicting calories burned.
I received this as a Christmas gift, too; otherwise I'd return it in a heartbeat. About the only useful purpose I can conceive of for this device is its stopwatch feature (of course, assuming THAT'S accurate...).
Very disappointing.
