It measures steps, stride,and distance. I used it for my 10,000 steps program. I passed it on to a new walker and upgraded to the Pulse Mate by Acumen, because it is as good as this one with the added plus of counting calories burned, miles and the PULSE METER which helps tremendously in my circuit training.
