Summary: Horrible
Comment: I bought this item a few weeks ago. The item was listed as new!! When I opened the box that it came in I found 1/2 the unit had scratches, red paint on it, and grease all over it. I wanted to send it back but it would be impossible to put it back in the same box it came in. I decide to try to assemble it. I was not even 1/2 way through putting it together and came across another problem..........the bolts that they sent with it were the wrong size. I would highly suggest to anyone looking for an elliptical trainer to shop elswhere!!!

Summary: Bad Choice
Comment: It fell apart within days ... it makes a grinding noise, wobbles and not at all steady. I called up the Customer Service, but the solutions they provided were temporary (worked for 2 min, then the noise started again !!). There is some serious design flaw in this product. I have used ellipticals many other places, but this one is the worst among the lot. Not worth buying !!!

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
Comment: 3 Days....3 DAYS!!! before it started to fall apart. It creaks and grinds and is NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Summary: Horrible Product
Comment: It was a pain to assemble b/c nuts were missing and once assembled, it shakes while in use, I can't even use the arms b/c it wobbles from side to side and no matter how much I tighten the screws it still shakes. In a word it sucks! I was forced to buy it b/c it was the only thing I could afford at the time.

Summary: On my way to fitness.
Comment: I made a wise choice purchasing the body flex elliptical trainer. It's a great value for the money and easy to assemble. I now exercise on a regular basis. I love it.

Editorial Reviews:

Enjoy a total body cardio workout without trudging to the gym day after day with the Body Rider elliptical trainer. The Body Rider is equipped with a chain-driven fan wheel that runs quietly and smoothly, along with pair of dual-action handlebars that can be set to both workout and stationary modes. In workout mode, the handlebars move in tandem with the footpads, letting you exercise both your upper and lower body simultaneously. In stationary mode, by contrast, the handlebars stay still, so you can focus exclusively on your legs and core. It's the perfect way to boost your cardio conditioning, increase your energy, and burn fat all in one.

The Body Rider also includes an easy-to-read monitor that tracks your time, speed, distance, calories burned, and heart rate. Best of all, the machine takes up a minimum of space, with a compact footprint that measures only 20 by 56.25 by 34.25 inches (W x H x D). Other details include a weight capacity of 250 pounds, a book rack, a water bottle holder, an instructional video that guides you on product usage, and a diet and exercise guide. The Body Rider also carries a one-year warranty.

About Elliptical Trainers
Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips.

Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won't strain sensitive joints.
