Comment: I ordered this medicine ball so that I could work get some core strength work going. I'm following the Tar Heels Workout (Men's Health 2008 - available online if you Google it). I really like what I have received. The medicine ball is about the size of a soccer ball, and is surfaced much the same way as a basketball. There is a lot of grip and that does not go away when you sweat. It is durable and I can see this lasting through many years of abuse!
I am extremely pleased that I stayed away from the leather covered, and more expensive balls from other manufacturers. This is everything I needed and wanted. No postage from Amazon for it was a real boon considering what medicine balls cost at brick and mortar stores -- I saved money on both counts and got exactly what I wanted.

Summary: Intensify your exercise routine
Comment: My primary exercise routine consists of approximately 45 to 50 minutes of vigorous walking every day. I am 55 years old, I enjoy cardiovascular exercise.
Hopefully every one knows as we get older, it becomes more important to exercise with weights. This 10LB medicine ball that comes with instructions makes it easy and fun to achieve the weight bearing exercise we need to stay strong.
Purchasing this product on Amazon.com was very easy, the product shipped within a week, and I didn't have to pay shipping costs.

Summary: sturdy, well-made medicine ball
Comment: Medicine balls are a great way to exercise and not overdue it. Gently do reps of ten or so to build up the triceps, biceps, deltoids, etc. If one does not lift more than ten pounds, for the average person this is a good way to develop muscle tone and strength without risk of injury.

Summary: Very Nice Medicine Ball
Comment: I purchased this ball for my fiance because she wanted one as part of her workout program. She said that it's good quality, has a good grip, and works fine for certain aspects of her workout.
The only mistake I made is that this ball too heavy for some of her exercises. Obviously this isn't a reflection of the product's quality and therefore isn't included in the product's rating, but I felt pointing it out might be helpful for others considering purchase for someone else. It's great for her lifting exercises and weighted sit-ups, but a little too heavy for tossing exercises.
I'll also add what I read from other Valeo reviewers who pointed out that some of the medicine balls are actually palm sized and about the size of a softball whereas others are two-handed and a little smaller than a basketball. I felt this was an important distinction since some of the product descriptions aren't very clear. Plus, I was a bit dense regarding these types of products until I started shopping around for them.

Comment: I use this product as part of my conditioning workout at my home when I can't make it to the gym. It is easy to use and it even comes with routine exercises. Great for getting your heart rate pumping!
