I use it only for abdominal crunches but it probably could be used for just about any exercise. The length and width are fine, particularly if you intend to transport it. I like it so much that I bought a second one as a gift. Highly recommended. My son bought this for me and has worded very well. The size and thickness are excellent one can lay down and be covered from head to feet in comfort. Also easy to pick up and store behind the couch. since I was useing for exercises for severe back and leg pain I really needed that extra padding. A great product, and yes the pain is better.
