They have been trying to double-dutch but the beaded ropes at school hurt when they get hit. The lightweight cotton ropes were not heavy enough to swing - so I ordered these. They loved them! She said they are easy to swing and because they do not hurt when they hit you, the kids are not afraid to jump in. Jumping rope is such great excercise. It's funny to watch them jumping rope with the snow all around the playground. I would highly recommend this item.
