Summary: Gazelle Edge
Comment: This machine is very nice. My wife and i use it all the time.Seems to be pretty much as promised. Shipping carton was severely damaged in transit.None of the parts were damaged or missing. Other than that, we are satisfied with the performance

Summary: Good for Beginners/Non-exercisers
Comment: I borrowed this product from a family member and I am glad I didn't go out and buy one first. This machine would be acceptable for in between workouts of intense aerobic activity days. I worked out on it for 30 minutes (2.25 miles) and I didn't even break a sweat and my heart rate didn't even increase. I thought it was a glorified treadmill, because it's very easy on the joints. I did have a problem with my toes feeling a little numb after 20 minutes and I needed to adjust my feet every so often to make sure they were in the middle. I was a little disappointed I am used to getting a good aerobic workout (i.e, step aerobics, elliptical, etc).

Summary: Great machine for basic aerobic workout
Comment: I purchased the Gazelle about a year and a half ago, and I love it. It's a great piece of equipment for the price. I have no clue what some of the other reviewers were talking about when they commented that it did not make you break a sweat. I've been exercising for the better part of the last 15 years, so I'm far from a beginner when it comes to working out. I never fail to break a sweat and get my heart rate up when using the Gazelle. Perhaps these people are used to treadmills that do the work for you. Yes, you actually have to push yourself to move fast and get your momentum going (imagine that?!). It does takes using it a few times to get the rhythm right, but it works great. My husband has started using it as well, and he loves it, too. My only complaint is that the "joints" start to squeak after a few months, so keep a can of WD-40 handy.

If you're looking for a low-priced piece of equipment that's going to give you a great basic aerobic workout, this is the machine for you.

Summary: Easy on the feet
Comment: I recently bought the Gazelle Edge to help get in shape for a wedding that I'm participating in. I had a good experience a few years ago with another Gazelle model and wanted to see if it would still work for me now that I'm out of my teens. So far I'm enjoying myself. I'm about a week in, so the results aren't mind-blowing, but after my workout I feel it.
This might not be the right product for people seriously over-weight but for someone who wants to drop 5-20lbs, this could do the trick.
I would tentatively recommend this for people with joint or feet problems.
I have a pretty painful bunion and bad knees (old before my time). On the Gazelle, I don't have the same stress on my foot as jogging or even walking briskly.

Summary: I love the Gazelle!
Comment: I've owned my Gazelle for about a month now. I still use it on a daily basis, that is how great it is! While dieting I lost 3 lbs. in only a week while exercising on the Gazelle daily.

It's great to work out on if you are not into intense workouts. You don't sweat a lot, though I do get a little out of breath using it. I usually hop on it while my baby is napping. It does have a tendency to be noisy, but a liberal use of WD-40 helps a lot. It doesn't wake my daughter, and I tend to listen to music while doing it so it doesn't bother me the least. I was looking into buying a treadmill, but the only one's in my price range were too short for my long stride, and the motor would most likely burn out in less than a year.

I can "run" at a full stride on the Gazelle with ease. Just stretching your legs out on it while you move feels great. It's the best exercise equipment I've ever owned (I've had a stationary bike and a treadmill). Definitely the best equipment for it's price. I do suggest looking on Craig's List first. I bought mine used for $30.

I know there have been some negative reviews, but if you do not change your diet and work out on a regular basis of course you will not lose weight. It's much easier to blame it on an infomercial product instead of one's poor diet. Anything that gets you moving will burn calories, of course!!
